Welcome to the Architectural tiles page.  Below you will find details of the Tiles we have on offer.

10317  Josiah Wedgewood Pictorial Tile.  Nice underlay transfer printed pictorial tile, circa 1880 from Josiah Wedgewood & Sons Ltd.  Central pictorial is of a group of children picking fruit while their mothers look on.   Above the pictorial there is an urn and a pair of griffins, while below is an ornate hanging swag.  The outer border is a decorative floral and foliate motif.  The back is a plain rail design which is embossed No. 1 and stamped with the design number, T279.  This tile is in excellent condition, with one very small chip near the bottom on the left side.  Other than that, it has only a few very, very light scratches and no noticeable glaze crazing.      SOLD

SM804 Thistle Art Nouveau Tile.  This is a beautiful Belgian Art Nouveau tile, made by Manufactures de Carreaux en Faience de Florennes, around the turn of the century.  It's in excellent condition, with just a couple of tiny nibbles off the edge, and natural glaze crazing.  $68.00      SOLD

SM808  Cyclamen Art Nouveau Tile.  Another very nice Art Nouveau tile, circa 1900 - we believe it to be Belgian.  It has an embossed H in a circle, on the back.  Tile is in excellent condition, with a couple of edge nibbles, light surface wear and natural glaze crazing.  This is a repeating pattern, and we have a number of them for sale.  $68.00

SM823  Rope Framed Majolica Tile.  This is an interesting pattern.  It has a center floral and leaf pattern, and a rope frame.  It was made in Belgium, in the early 1900s, by S.A. Manufactures Ceramiques d' Hemexem, Gilliot & Cie.   It's in wondrful condition, with very minor edge nibbles, light wear and natural glaze crazing.  We have several of this pattern.  $55.00

SM830  Pink Floral High Relief Moulded Tile.  This is a super Belgian made tile in absolutely Near Mint condition.  The flower is in extremely high relief, at least 1/4".  It has definately been used, as there is still morter on the back, however it shows almost no wear!  Several available.      SOLD

16887  Lily Floral Transfer Print Tile.  This is a hand colored, underglaze transfer printed tile, unknown maker, but English.  It has some minor edge chipping, and some very light wear, but displays beautifully!       SOLD

16399  Stunning Majolica Tile.  Here we have a really nice Majolica tile in shades of brown and green.  Unknown maker, though it has a JB or JHB monogram on the back, possibly J. H. Barrett.  Back is also embossed with England and a mould number.  Condition is superb, with only very light wear and natural glaze crazing.  $55.00

16589  Sepia Print "Messenger Of Love" Tile.  This would appear to be a Minton "series" tile, but we don't know for sure.  It is NOT embossed with Minton's marks on the back.  It has light wear, and fine, natural glaze crazing, but is in excellent condition.         SOLD

16658  Floral Art Nouveau Tile.  Very pretty Art Nouveau tile in excellent condition.  English, circa late 1800s.  It has one minor nick on the top edge, near the right hand corner, very light wear and glaze crazing.      SOLD
